★ 不定詞（Infinitive） ★

不定詞 (Infinitive) 是非限定動詞，簡式為 to-V，在句中具有➀名詞、➁形容詞、➂副詞 三種作用。

編輯特特提醒：不定詞「不能」當主要動詞。

 

✅名詞的功能：

❶ 當作主詞 ➡ 第三人稱單數
To master English(主詞) is not easy.
To teach children English(主詞) requires patience.
 

❷ 當作受詞 
I like to play baseball.  (當作及物動詞 like 的受詞)

❸ 當作補語
To see is to believe. 眼見為憑。 (作為主詞補語)

 

✅形容詞的功能：

Ex. Wait for me here, I have one more thing to do.
Ex. Do you still have water in the bottle? I need water to drink.
 

✅副詞的功能：

❶ 表示目的
Ex. We go to school to/in order to/so as to receive education. 
❷ 表示結果   
句型：adj./adv. enough + to-V   夠...足以
Ex. Are you tall enough to dunk?
句型：too + adj./adv. + (for sb) + to-V
Ex. The wind is too strong for me to stand still.
句型：, only to-V  竟然...
Ex. I looked at her again, only to discover that she was my English teacher in senior high school.
